Why Disney?

Why Disney? Out of all the options I could have chose for my freshman writing 101, I chose to take a  course on Disney. Personally, I wanted to take a look at Disney again as a teenager with one question in mind: Why was Disney so appealing when I was growing up? Furthermore, I was also interested in Disney's success that is not replicable by other animated film corporations. Disney success in the film industry is parallel to no one. Walt Disney did not have predecessors to copy from. From nothing, Walt built an Disney empire. I hope to learn about these things during this semester.

Also, let's be real, who wouldn't want to study Disney for a college writing class?
